Hidden off the beaten track Waingarara Valley is a gorgeous log cabin venue with incredible views. Overlooking the surrounding countryside with the Waingarara Creek flowing through the valley below, this picturesque setting is an ideal location for any event.
Our beautiful log cabin has a seating capacity for up to 150 guests, with an expansive covered deck area - ideal for all seasons.

"We got married at Waingarara Wedding Venue in March 2023 and it was everything we ever imagined! We had a stunning day and Karen & Pete were great hosts they helped everything run smoothly and nothing was a problem very accommodating! All our guest also commented on the beautiful venue, and I was also very confident that if the weather did turn, Karen & Pete assured us that the venue was very versatile, and that rain wouldn’t be a problem which is a bonus! 100% recommend this great venue if you are thinking of tiring the knot!!"

"The most incredible venue run by the most amazing people, if I could give more than 5 stars I would! Every one of then 145 guests loved it and had the most amazing day. Communication with Karen was so easy, she put up with so many questions and visits, and nothing was a problem. We also had Karen do our flowers and they were absolutely beautiful, she more than nailed the colours and theme. When our guests were getting through some of the alcohol faster than we expected the team at Waingarara even went out of the way to do a run into town to re-stock, amazing service! I couldn't recommend this venue highly enough. Thanks for making this day so incredible."

As soon as we walked into Waingarara we knew that this was the place we wanted to seal the deal and Karen was an absolute superstar host from start to finish and she also took care of all our beautiful flowers because she's also a very talented florist!! She was so accommodating and helpful, ensuring that our day was as close to our vision as we could make it! Our guests raved about it and loved it there too! The venue is just stunning with the most amazing outlook, and we were given the option of going up the hill a bit further so just hubby and I could get some photos with an even more spectacular view and peeps of the ocean! We wanted a wedding that was super chill and laid back like us and that's exactly what Pete, Karen and Waingarara provides! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this incredible place to future brides and grooms, you will not be disappointed! Waingarara will always have a special place in our hearts and after such a wonderful experience leading up to our wedding and on the day of, Waingarara feels like it's our own, like home and we look forward to visiting again and again to attend the other special events and fundraisers hosted there.

What a hidden gem. If you're having a large event in the Bay of Plenty, this is the place to have it. The (massive) venue is tucked away in a private little valley, providing gorgeous views. It's only a short drive from the Ohope coastline so guests can stay in the town by the beach. The owner, Karen, was a delight to work with and happily answered our endless stream of questions leading up to the event. On the day, she was a fantastic host, with her and her team working with our caterers to run a flawless wedding. 10/10
